Kristin Erickson is a girl named Kevin — Kevin Blechdom to be precise, the avenging angel of pop music. Armed with a laptop, top notch programming skills, keyboard and a banjo, Ms. Blechdom has brought much needed life into electronic music with her one woman show filled with Song, Dance, Blood and Guts.

She began making music with her brother and sister in law as ‘Adult Rodeo’ over ten years ago, releasing 2 albums on the revered Shimmy Disc label run by Kramer of Bongwater fame. Later she hooked up with Bevin Kelley and formed Blectum From Blechdom after an accidental collaboration one hallows night. The duo went on to release music on labels like Tigerbeat6 and Deluxe, the later recording winning 2nd place at the prestigious ars electronica prize in linz.

After Blectum From Blechdom called it a day, Kristin kept her team name Kevin Blechdom and relocated herself to Berlin where she produced two albums for the Chicks on Speed label entitled ‘BITCHES WITHOUT BRITCHES’ (2003) and ‘EAT MY HEART OUT’ (2005).

She received her B.A. And M.F.A. Degrees in electronic music from Mills College, and in 2013 she received her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the California Institute of the Arts. Now she works as the Technical Coordinator for the Digital Arts and New Media program at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
