Bhob Rainey, a recipient of the Pew Fellowship in the Arts, is a composer, improvisor, and computer programmer. He founded the seminal improv duo, Nmperign, directed The BSC, an improvising large ensemble, for fifteen years, and created a series of multichannel electronic works as Prants (with Chris Cooper). His compositions work with large data systems, chaos, and the teeming underside of everyday communication technology.
