Bring $3.25 (more for snacks) and take a ride with us on the 47 bus to explore Philadelphia’s diverse cultural history. As we ride north and cross the Boulevard, you will listen to a series of sound collages compiled from interviews and reflections from bus riders, drivers, local business owners, students, artists and immigrant communities along the route. Participants will hop off on N. 5th street to sample Colombian and Caribbean specialities and learn about local initiatives. We will ask riders to reflect on their experiences on public transit, and the changing landscape of Philadelphia. Please bring headphones.
