MegaFest’s own Justin and Nick, along with Ange of Ladio / WNYC / Seven Second Delay, will be in Toronto this weekend for the 7th annual Radio Without Boundaries dealie. We will be blogging for Transom.org all about this strange land, where people adhere to the radical notion that the arts should be publicly funded. Weirdos.
Stay tuned for links and things, internet user.
UPDATE: We’re live over at Transom.org.

Want to see MEGAFEST 2010 happen?
Wednesday, April 29th, 2009Give us your feedback. Fill out only as much as you want. And it can be anonymous if you prefer to be incredibly mean. We can take it.
We Are Not All Done Yet
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009Still a couple co-sponsored events left, including Reliquary of Labor: A Parallel Media Project tonight at 7:30pm at the Axiom Gallery, and the Radio Lab Listening Party with host Jad Abumrad tomorrow (Wed.) night at the Museum of Science (this is probably sold out — fair warning). Come say hi to us MegaFesty looking people if you make it to either.
Opening Nite
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009Boston CyberArts just posted a nifty video featuring opening nite performances from Radio Wonderland, Die Schrauber, the Lothars, and the Boston Typewriter Orchestra (Peace, Loving aren’t on the vid, but check them out too–they’re sexy.) Plus, there’s a quick interview with MegaFest co-director Nick vdK, who is desperately clutching to his smokes in an attempt to look cool.
Foto’s
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009Fun fun fun photos. If you took any this weekend, get them up on Flickr with the tag megafest09 — lots of people are doing it already, and you should too.

MegaFest 2009 is in the books
Monday, April 27th, 2009In the past 72 hours, we heard and created all manner of mind-blowing sonic experiments, received our very own official theme song, met people so wonderful they’re probably related to Jesus, shook our asses, and got busted by security for sneaking into places we weren’t supposed to go.
We’ll tell you all about it very soon and post MP3s, pickchures, videoz, and flingaflangs. But right now, we’re gonna get some rest.
We can’t thank enough people for helping make this happen, but uberspecial thanks to Gina Hey, Thacher Tiffany, Ashley Ahearn, and Tom Mattos, and all our sponsors, volunteers, presenters/performers/artists, and of course YOU THE LISTENER.
Stay tuned…

Putting the Holy Crap In Radio
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009
We’re featured on the local pubradio show Radio Boston tomorrow/Friday a few hours before the festival starts. Nick couldn’t make it down (boo hiss) but Justin and MEGASTAR Kara Oehler are in that house. Show starts at 1pm Eastern and is one hour — I’m guessing our segment will air around 1:50 and will be a few minutes long, so you better start listening to the radio now until 2pm tomorrow to make sure you don’t miss it. DON’T – FALL – ASLEEP! Tune in to WBUR on the Web or 90.9 on zee FM dial if yr in the Boston area.
